NEW for BRASS QUINTET
Coming out next month (late May) is my Fantasy on 'Fumeux Fume par fumée' after Jean Solage (1350-1403).  The original Fumeux Fume par fumée is a product of the Ars Subtillior school in France, the so-called avant-garde of the 14th century. My broadly two-part fantasy consists of a preamble of my own making, Solage's antiphon as a centerpiece, and a return to the preamble, so the first part of the work follows ABA form. Following that are rhapsodic variations on the antiphone culminating in a ...

Sigfrid Karg-Elert Symphony in F# minor
Several years in the making, I will be offering Sigfrid Karg-Elert's Symphony in F# minor (1930) in orchestrated form to publishers and conductors. A very late work of the composer, it was originally conceived for organ and lost for many years. In preparing the new version of this work, I am citing the more recent urtext edition of  Breitkopf & Härtel (Johannes Matthias Michel, editor). The Symphony  has a duration of approximately 32 minutes.
